Disney's Phineas and Ferb cast performs to "Backyard Beach"

Back by popular demand, Disney’s Phineas and Ferb: The Best Live Tour Ever! returns to the Long Beach Terrace Theater (300 E Ocean Blvd) in a high-energy adventurous live stage performance September 29 and 30.

The beloved characters of Disney Channel’s animated series known as Phineas, Ferb, Candace, Isabella, Baljeet, Buford and friends, come to life as they set out to build their largest and most amazing invention ever while Perry, the secret double-agent pet platypus known as Agent P, saves the world from the evil plans of Dr. Doofenshmirtz.

Autism Author Rebecca Woods Celebrates the Magic of Reading at the 10th Annual Festival of Authors -- 10/6

DUARTE, CA--(Marketwire - Sep 11, 2012) - Autism author, blogger and special needs mom, Rebecca Woods will offer a book signing for her novel, Living Through Charlie, a story of the obstacles faced by a learning-disabled child and his parents inside an elite private school community, Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 10 am to 5 pm at the Westminster Gardens (1420 Santo Domingo, Duarte) during the Friends of Duarte Library's 10^th Annual Festival of Authors.

Proceeds from the 10^th Annual Festival of Authors will support Duarte Library programs to celebrate the magic of reading.

Living Through Charlie follows Meg Norton as she tries to become an A-list mom and a perfect wife in the Southern California suburb. When Charlie's odd behavior at his posh, private preschool alienates the other kids and their moms, Meg struggles with her husband's desire for the perfect family and her son's needs. "As moms we have a tendency to over-relate to our kids' experiences and take them on as our own," Woods says. "Whether parenting a special needs child or not, my readers totally identify with Meg's struggles."
